Our vision

Our vision is that our home will serve as an inspiration and resource to the community where every person will be given the love and peace of God as they journey toward natural death.

Mission

Our mission is to provide compassionate care for the dying in a Christ-centered home.

Our Home

  • We will provide 24/7 care by paid staff and volunteers. Spiritual care will be infused into all aspects of care. The home and care are provided at no charge. Operating expenses are met through private and corporate donations, grants, foundations and sponsors.

  • Eligible persons who lack a caregiver at home or have family limitations, do not have a place to stay, or have no home may reside in this comfortable home until time of death. Family support is encouraged and welcomed.

  • We will provide a peaceful and loving environment, that will feel like a home. We will have multiple bedrooms with a private shower and sofa sleeper for family. Kitchen, Chapel, living room, laundry room and a medication room will also be in the home.

  • Our care includes meals, laundry, housekeeping, personal care, companionship and spiritual care. Medical care, including pain management, is under the direction of the resident’s own physician and hospice services. Our paid staff will administer the medication as directed.

At the Heart of Jesus . . .

We fill a critical gap without duplicating services.

We provide spiritual care for the dying and their loved ones.

We serve people of all faiths and no faith.

We ensure that no one dies alone.

We follow the command to love one another as Christ loved us.

We hold concern for the dying, especially the poor, underserved, and the lonely.

We believe in the sacredness of all human life until natural death.

Let us touch the dying, the poor, the lonely and the unwanted according to the graces we have received and let us not be ashamed or slow to do the humble work
